Leithen Lodge offers the ideal romantic and picturesque setting for any wedding.
Within Leithen Lodge house we offer the wedding ceremony in the Grand Ballroom which offers a double height vaulted ceiling with ornate plasterwork decorated in the Arts & Crafts movement, with an imposing recessed sandstone fireplace. The grand piano sits in the bay window overlooking Leithen River and the picturesque 19th century hump-back stone bridge.
The dinning room which sits in the original 16th century part of Leithen Lodge comprises of a raised oval ceiling with two decorative columns with a large open fire place
Drawing room has Adamesque decoration with a large fireplace with high ornamental ceilings.
The Great hall has ornate carved wooden pillars with a galleried landing overlooking the stone fireplace. It is an ideal venue for drinks and canopies reception

The grounds have a truly loved and vibrant feel with intimate walled garden, orchard walk and a serene lochan running into Leithen River. All of this is enveloped by the spectacular surrounds of the Moorfoot hills. We can offer the wedding service in any part of the grounds and also have a marquee available catering for those with an extensive guest list.
We offer a full wedding service with a personal planner on hand to cater to your every wish for your special day.
The accommodation at Leithen Lodge is within the grounds in Woolhope Bank and The Leithen Lodge Stables but other accommodation can be arranged in nearby hotels if needed.
We also offer a full hair and beauty service whether it is for the bride to be and the whole bridal party on the wedding day or a day of treatments before the wedding in order to prepare and feel body beautiful at the Leithen Lodge private salon.
And to say thank you for choosing Leithen Lodge we will plant a meter of meadow for each wedding event held here. Apart from the natural beauty it brings to the grounds there are many ecological benefits from planting wild meadow. These include its low maintenance as there no need for mowing. It also creates a habitat for all the native species of animals. In addition to this wildflower meadows are effective at trapping pollutants in the air.
